For Editors: My Bio
If stretch marks and caffeine addiction aren’t sufficient enough qualifications to write a parenting column, I actually went to college to learn how to write. In fact, in 1986, I graduated from the best journalism school in the country—the University of Missouri-Columbia—where I earned a bachelor’s degree in news-editorial and ego. My first published newspaper story was an in-depth investigation on the latest trends in salad bars, which landed me on my favorite spot—the front page of the features section. Since then, my extensive journalism career has included countless feature, news, medical, and business articles for a variety of local and national newspapers, magazines and corporate publications.
